Again, going to a bar/club still seems like work rather than fun. Even if I'm not drinking the whole scene just does not interest me.

Max, go for it full force when you see a girl you want. Only back off the gas if you feel like she isn't reciprocating. My advice isn't conflicting. If she's into you, she'll take it and run. If she needs some convincing, she isn't going to like the full force. So back off, make her realize you are cool with it and aren't exactly going to wait for her because you aren't desperate. Get it?

K. But I still feel I haven't gotten a bearing on the situation because I haven't been able to see her much.

you might just be surprised how fun a bar can be with a few drinks in ya....just saying. you'll never know until you experience it.

doesn't your design team ever go out for some drinks?

Senior project starts in the fall for me.

I have no idea how the other people in my classes behave outside of school. And of course I have never gone out for drinks for any reason.

i didnt do the add-on yet. at this point, it's not that firefox is so bothersome, but that i want to know why every subforum works on IE, except for Off Topic. I can visit any part of the forums, except that one. it redirects me to google.

Up to this point, you have set yourself up for failure. Exactly what I did for 24 years. In the three weeks that I actually put my mind to it and studied, I had one night where I became very frustrated and let the thoughts of failure creep back in (*). I took the next day off, then went back at it. I also had a couple other nights where I did not feel confident at all. Two days before the test, I really wanted to move the date back, felt I wasn't ready. In the end, it was another excuse. I could have kept pushing it back, but it wasn't going to go away and I was only 1) getting pissed on top of frustrated and 2) was setting myself up for failure again. I was a mess Monday morning, but I stuck with it and did what I set out to do, even with the possibility of failing the test - I was putting myself in that position that morning.

Whatever the outcome Monday, you need to continue. If you don't go out, nothing will happen, that is a fact. Girls are not going to just knock on your door.

EDIT:
* I felt like giving up that night.

A few years ago I did have one girl who sort of came on to me. Once I started paying more attention to her and to like her she seemed to loose interest. Which hurt. I guess I should have continued the disinterested thing. I still feel silly for how I acted back then. Way too easy to get. I did not see it back then, though.
