All anyone expects is perfection!

I know you are working long hours but I bet it is really kinda fun. I always loved going into manufacturing plants and seeing the real production. I spent two days at a plant in the metro that makes large industrial size air conditioning units. They started off with huge rolls of copper tubing that came in on a train. The made all the fittings made the compressors, and everything. The best part was that huge plant was air conditioned! I was glad I did not have to work on the production line but it was cool to watch.

As a manufacturer of oil field pumps and valves Kimray has some pretty cool computer controlled 3 axis mills. They drill a hole so fast it just looks like it is punching them. The coolant at the end of the drill is at over 1000 psi. The drill moves between holes so fast if the machines weren't bolted to piers they would move 2 ft and they weight tons. The first one they put in did a valve body with lotsa holes took machining time from 22 hours to just 15 minutes.

i had this problem with the rover. some good NGK resistor style plugs solved the problem. i was amazed. good luck tracking it down.

Did some tuning on the 928. Seems there are 6 maps that need to be tweaked. The cat map, non-cat map, immediate o2 adjustment, the adaptive o2 adjustment, the ignition advance map, and the idle ignition advance map. I can tweak the cat map and non-cat map, but all I can do is reset the o2 adjustment maps. So...have to reset o2 adjustment maps, then tune a little, then reset the o2 adjustment maps.

Finally got the idle nice and smooth. Another 928 tuning guy happened to be in town today and dropped by. He didn't know about resetting the o2 adjustment and claims my car is now idling smoother than his.

Now on to the tuning sessions to maximize performance!

my wife, during her first motorcycle ride in about 17 years:

what a great time! it was super nice to be with her and she is a great little passenger. i'd forgotten how much more difficult it is to ride with a passenger. i cannot wait to go out again with angie!

Nice pic, but shouldn't she be riding a motorcycle?

quote from angie: "i have no desire to drive a motorcycle."

that said, it is difficult to take a picture of her while we are riding. this was taken at the mid point in the ride.

Looks like we have a challenge:
http://forums.pelicanparts.com/off-topic-discussions/680860-duplicate-post-ignore-2.html#post6778113

An "ignore" thread on a cobra forum that is 3 times as long as the Stijn! thread? We can't have that. We must be #1!

She looks like the Stig's nemesis or evil twin.

It is going to take a LONG time to tripple the size of this thread.

A little news. Markus says hello. He is still busy moving into his childhood home and fixing it up. And in G-man moment, Markus' girlfriend is moving in as well. I mentioned that I will be in Europe this September and if possible, will try and meet up.

On another note, my biological brother should be contacting me via FB soon. Interesting times! It will be exciting to meet a brother that I have known about, but have never met. I suppose I will be flying back East soon and meeting with a bunch of family. Too bad my biological mother does not want to have contact with me.

Lastly, a cheery pic.
