Well, it obviously went well in his case. My dad has a friend who had a hip and knee replaced and it did not turn out so well. Not a split bone but it still hurts.

Did he have one of the early generation when they were still figuring out how to get the bone to bond to it and what plastic to use?

Ethanol got the 911. Pissed. Gas leaking at the bottom of the tank. Lost a few gallons, car ran out of gas when I pulled into my parents driveway. Upon leaving I noticed a wet spot on the driveway, put my nose to it and sure enough, gas. Also some metal squeaking. I really hope it's not a bearing issue.

Cheers Dave. Just pulled into Winton QLD. Decided to treat ourselves to a real bed and a shower. Nice to be clean again. Nat Park was very pretty, on the way out we went into Lark Quarry - where a dinosaur stampede occurred about 95M years ago. Pretty cool to see. Gunna look at more dinosaur stuff tomorrow just north of here.

Morning Y'all.

Glen are they going to have to issue the "Metal in body" medical card for boarding planes?

They may, Rick, but it's not always needed today. My mom has some metal in her and it's not a problem. Glen does have 90% more, so maybe he will.

Morning Dave. I have a friend who was basically blown up in Nam, and he has one of those cards because of the crap they left inside of him

Sorry to hear that. But that's steel. I know they issue cards, but when I asked my mom about it, she had mentioned that current surgically implanted devices to an extent, do not trip the sensors.

Glen! Head to the airport tomorrow and let us know.

I asked.my Doc about that exact thing. He said I will get a card that has the brand and type of hip, the Docs name and the contact info. He said it is mostly for the emergency case of some car crash. If I was away on vacation and was involved in a crash and my new hip was torn up the card has the info a doc would need to help me. The entire hip prothesis is just about the size of a gun.*

Morning folks. Watching the F1 practice or non practice. Hopefully the rain will slow up and allow some runs.

Maybe Isaac will chase you to OKC. That would be nice. Right now it looks like Tulsa gets some rain from Isaac but not us.
