Maybe? I've had one tbone me and just pop out some bog from a previous repair, and another tbone where the roo ended up wrapping itself around the front wheel and it took out the trans cooler (front wheel drive).

Wohooooooo! I've just been handed $78. I'm rich! Two seconds, a third and a last place in the office sweeps.

Hey Max, how's your metallurgy theory?

I'm trying to find out what coating on mild steel fasteners (machine screws) would have the best compatibility with Al 5083-H321 alloy, to limit galvanic corrosion. Any ideas?

Anyone can chime in if they know the answer

I would say zinc since that is also one of the primary alloying elements for aluminum. 7075 uses zinc and has one of the highest yield strengths of any aluminum alloy (excluding scandium-aluminum and other exotic alloys) while having better stress corrosion cracking resistance than the next strongest, 2024 (aka Duralumin).

I use a little lithium grease to prevent my aluminum lugs from galling and corrosion welding to my steel wheel studs.

Thanks Max. I like the table - I'm going to pin that one up (kinky hey?). Cheers

Dave, you playing in the ether today? I'm looking for a new antivirus stuff - been using Norton's for years and it just gets less and less intuitive every year and I'm finding I have to fight with it more and more. Do you have an opinion of MSE?

I find astroglide is pretty good for keeping my nuts all lubed up and corrosion free....

Was just doing some interwebs research this arvo, as I need to spec a design with a M4 press-fit stud into the Al. I've got the choice of two studs, zinc passivated or A2 stainless. Going with the zinc. Thanks Max.

Morning, Rick.

Not happy. My cellphone bill was $387 while I was in Europe and there was no data involved.

Way back when I was with Alltel and they were bought out by AT&T and my last bill with them on that service was 3something. They taxed and surcharged me to the N-th degree to get me to leave since they didn't like the deal I had. It worked too
