Holy crap something is wrong, my Ibanez is actually out of tune, this thing never goes out of tune. Yikes, I hate to even think about where my Gibson is.

Max check the plug wires on the Beemer. My 914 started doing the same type of funny running under load. I replaced the plugs several times an it did not cure the problem. I replaced the point and condenser and no change. I know your Beemer does not have points. I finally replaced the plug wires and bingo the problem was solved.

I actually had the same issue with my Landy glen, I was driving myself crazy checking and rechecking the points....slapped a $18 set of auto zone wires in and all was good!

I'll try it. They weren't arcing at idle when I looked under the hood at night, but I suppose they could still be bad. And the symptoms certainly point to something like plug wires.

Noah, you always have good stuff in your house. Ice cream stuff and cheese. But then again, roast beef sounds good too. Funny. I am eating now too. pho or Vietnamese beef soup. I am a foodie. Can you tell?
