Jeff, you are quite the "partyer". Glad to hear you are bringing in the new year with a bang.

I am thinking about going to bed early and driving up to the snow in the morning to go snowboarding. When everybody else is still recovering from hangovers and blokes in red dresses.

goodbye, my pup. gigi, RIP, sweetheart.

gigi was officially diagnosed with pyometra this morning. i say 'officially' because i did some research before we went to the vet and pretty much knew that was the game. we didn't even know she was sick until saturday, when i realized she stopped eating on friday.

with her age, 9 years, and accompanying kidney failure, the choice was to let her go or to be selfish. the finality is both awe inspiring and horrifying. if there is a god, he best pardon many sins of those that care for our pets.

the house seems empty. it is never 'just a dog'.

i am broken.

Sorry D, the pain of loosing pets is still too fresh here. It makes me tear up typing this. Sorry is just all I can say.

On a brighter note, I am about to go to Richards house. We will toast the new year with your beer if it is still good after all this time. We will Toast Gigi and to a healthy 2013 for all Stijiners.
