I designed and sewed 75 sets of these seat belt shoulder pads. The local PCA region gave them to entries in their big charity car show.

They are rip stop ballistic nylon with a felt back to keep a grip on your shoulder, have closed cell foam for padding, stay wrapped around the belt with velcro, and have an embroidered Porsche logo.

Interesting that while I was sewing them up the girl in the picture needed my help on a project. I agreed to help if she would help me sew up the pads. She was both home schooled and took sewing in home economics classes. She couldn't sew worth a toot. I ended up doing all the sewing myself.

Ha ha, was thinking of making myself some breakfast and remembered mixing up and making pancakes for all the kids at our house for lunch. Used to put all kinds of stuff in the batter while they cooked. The favorite was bologna.

We also used to keep a mason jar in the fridge full of bacon fat. After cooking bacon you would pour the fat out of the pan through a piece of cheese cloth into the jar. Then a spoon of the fat was used to grease pans before cooking things like pancakes. Now I use non-stick pans and a quick shot of Pam cooking spray.

I don't know what she did to say she knew how to sew. Maybe she meant she knew how to put buttons back on or stitch a tear shut.

One of the ladies I used to work with thought the ultimate combination with chocolate was a cold beer. She loved beer & chocolate.

My former boss has a theory that is you eat onions in your lunch you must have chocolate to counter balance it. If he had some M&Ms in the morning he HAD to have somee onions for lunch. It was a viscous circle.

Can one have too much women?

Oh yea, I remember my old single days. My old boss still likes to remind me of the Monday I came slowly walking in to work looking like hell. My first words were "I think I hurt myself last night."

Ah to be mid 20s in the late 70s again. Back in the days before AIDS and Herpes. In the era of free love.

When I was in med school, we our main hospital was a county hospital. The nurses were horrible. And the worst of them would get promoted to some sort of supervisory position, as that was the easiest way to get them out of patient contact.

Do you work for the Post Office?

There was a local carrier that was caught throwing the mail in a trash dumpster because he was busy drinking at a bar instead of delivering the mail. They could not fire him. They should have arrested him and thrown him in jail. He was just re-assigned to a job at the sorting facility where he had no duties. He finally got to retire.
