A rainy commute (on foot) to the office this AM. A new Dunkin' Donuts store opened up along my path to w***. Since it's Friday, I thought I'd stop in and get something to go with my coffee. Mmmmm.

That is a warning I don't ever need to be told.

I had a fella show up at the house one sat looking to have his A6 worked on. I told him it was a gussied up passat with chrome radio knobs and that he better get it the F off my property while he still had the ability to do so under his own power.
I should mention he was a bit of a "better then everybody else" type, and didn't like the fact that I pointed to my driveway that is full of Porsches and a token Mercedes, you know real German cars

That really sounds like a BS charge. I buy a lot of stuff on Amazon. I chose the free shipping option every-time. I have never heard of a fee to ship. I have been ordering from Amazon since 1994 when they opened for business and only sold books.

Sick em Azzy.

My wife's Jetta isn't a steaming pile of crap or anything. It's been as reliable as the two Hondas or one Toyota she's had in the past. Actually, quite a bit better than the Toyota. The worst cars we've had were the Volvo, the Jeep, and the Triumph Spitfire I had back in my Navy days.

I think it's a service deal with Amazon to give you "free" shipping and or some other bennies. I never will subscribe to that service. Amazon does charge for shipping, although I think they waive it for orders over a certain dollar value.

My brother loves his OLD VWs. His "new" car is the 1972 Camper van he bought in 1974. His daily driver is the 1955 bug. No computers, no gadgets, just simple to fix.

My wife's old Civic was great up until the end. Then I had to troubleshoot/repair electrical issues, and the documentation that i could get my hands on pretty much sucked.

Just include a photo of your geezer-ness with your order and maybe they'll cut you a deal.

Okay I should mention I do like the old air coolers and would love to get my hands on a Karman Ghia roller.
Off to haul tools between the rain bands

If its "Amazon Prime", its that they include 2 day shipping for that fixed fee. If you're a huge buyer like my mom/sister it makes sense. IF you're like me, and rarely buy stuff, not worth it.

Without knowing, I guess we could keep up endless debated.
