Sometimes it does happen, but it needs more rain than that. The last big one here was in '88, another minor one in '91. Some of the town gets cut off at times from minor localised flooding. There are lots of monsoon drains around the town, and some levies.

My house is outside the flood zone, so we should be okay if/when it happens.

This was the main street back in '88.

wow Jeff, I would never have thought that Alice would get floods, a fair bit of rain yes, but floods, no.

Liking the fashion column, don't wear yoga pants, used to in my slim and sexy younger days, when I was running everyday, but now I am an old fart, its not a good look!!!!!

Although the town hasn't been flooded for some time, floods around these parts are common. They've fixed the road south (mostly), so we rarely get cut off from that way but the north still gets cut nearly every year. East and west is too common to count.
