I also decided that since humans work on a system of rewards and punishments, about the third week in July I will have saved enough money to buy my grenade launcher for my AR15.
Double congrats, Rick!

So, my dad caught a heavy crosswind on approach with his rc plane and it ended up mangled. He decided to retire from the rc game and sent me the controller, receiver and servos. So, what should I do with em? I don't want to do some cessna knockoff, bland project. I want to do something different

A12s have this little issue in the RC world......high stall speed due to design......I'd probably have to use model rocket engines to get it off the ground without dropping serious $$ on a pair of mean alcohol jets

Argh!!! Was supposed to be an easy Friday... Got the call at 1 that one of dads biggest customers had just opened their new $4m cstore and the price sign wasn't working right... Since its one of my products I went to help rescue it... Quite a few hours later and some parts robbed from a demo display and we have it working. We had this thing all working 2 weeks ago, still not sure what happened...

The whole store has been like this, the joke around the job is that they are checking the lot for an Indian burial ground next time......

The great thing about the design, other than freaking people out, is that they have massive lift surface. I'd bet you could build one with a stall speed of 10mph and with the right motor, still hit 70-80

Add dad getting a ticket to today's fun.... Can't complain too loud, cop hit him at 84(14 over) and only wrote it for 5 over....

However, I'm a little miffed that my V1 never made a sound and the ticket says he hit him with a laser...

We get the occasional "snake bit" job. Every step of the way some strange problem pops up. It is just a run of the mill average job except nothing goes the way it should.

Laser is interesting. What was he driving? Do y'all have front plates? Was the cop car moving?

We were in the 2010 Chevy truck. Where he had to be hiding, he had to have hit us from behind. Would have been a short distance low shot to the tag, which means the V1 could have easily missed it from some speeding.

It was a city cop, and looking at the map I think we were out of city limits. I question of the ticket is even valid. It's only $131 and no points... But....

I'll talk to the PCA resident lawyer tomorrow.

There's no such thing as "out of jurisdiction." A city cop can write a ticket outside of city limits. It's just that it's not his job to police outside of city limits, so it's unlikely he'll do so. But he's allowed to.
