I am not too sure how you handle the extended winter Pete, I would have gone postal decades ago.
Va is too cold for me

They're saying it may hit 90* by the end of the week. May have to go for a spin today.....haven't fired it up in a while.

" A *FROST ADVISORY* is in effect for northern New York, and Bennington and Windham counties in Vermont, until 8 AM on Monday. Morning lows will be in the 30s. Make sure to protect any tender outdoor plants.

The storm system that brought more rain and mountain snow has finally moved out of the region. Memorial Day is looking much better, with sunny skies and highs in the 60s. One more frosty night is possible Monday night, with lows in the 30s again. After that, the nights will get warmer. Tuesday will be mostly sunny, with highs in the upper 60s to mid 70s.

A warm front will move into the region on Wednesday, with increasing humidity and scattered showers and thunderstorms. A thunderstorm is also possible on Thursday. Summer-like temperatures will be the rule for the end of the week, with a few spots possibly hitting 90 degrees on Saturday."

Janet I would hate to camp at that site at Crabtree, too many people. I like to primitive camp.

Pete we are supposed to hit those numbers by the end of the week as well.

Same here, we've never stayed at a campground there. Mike has made friends with some of the locals and we camp along the tye river. We used to camp north of the campground but they built a cabin over our sport a few years ago.

I was unaware that this was a Porsche only event. Hell I may bring Peggy just to do the redneck thing.
All jokes aside we might be driving the Mercedes

Haha I tried to tell him that. The sonic is pretty fun, I am kind a looking forward to taking it. I just don't want to take the 44 not knowing what else will fail early on.

Well if we decide to hit the local range and chuck some lead, the Porsches are out for me. Kinda hard to carry long guns in them.

My parents never took me camping, because they loved me. Camping for me is a slow Internet connection, and no high def cable TV.

I did some camping in the boy scouts. That was fun, but it was something different, and I was a kid. I am not into camping now.

The thing I like the best about camping is getting away from all the electronic noise. To each his own, I guess I will never run into Glen up in the mountains staying in the nylon Hilton.

We used to go camping all the time when I was a kid, in Scamander down on the east coast of Tasmania, in Oz. In the summer school holidays, my Dad would drop us kids off down there, and go back home for the week to work (about 3-4 hours away), and come back at the weedends. We used to camp on the beach in the old Canvas type 11X11 tent, what a ball, used to light huge bonfires on the beach, and sit around cooking potatoes and apples in the fire, still love those potatoes, throw them in until they get really black and charred, then pull them out, let them cool down and crack them open, they are all fluffy and white and cooked on the inside, yumm.

East coast of Tassie used to be great for star gazing as it has the clearest skies, and as it is right on the Pacific ocean and no real population there was very little ambient light to interupt the stars lights. So we used to lay on the beach and watch the stars, when I was young we used to go down to watch the Appollo rockets and missions go over in the sky! Showing my age eh! There were very few satellites back then. Now you can't camp on the beach, now you can't camp anywhere along the Tassie coastline really, the camping Nartzies (sic) have stopped everyone cause they want you to crowd into their camping areas, so now its better to go up into the highlands and find somewhere to camp near a quiet lake (read black fella billabong) and do some fishin'.

Jeff we used to go up around Lake St Claire as well, went there just before coming over to the US of A. Lovely area, so beautiful,

Thank you, to all the servicemen and women, who make our countries safe.

+1

Cell Phone off. Anything like an ipod/ipad stays at home.
