Will be interesting to see how the people from last nights baseball have pulled up today! We didn't get back to SOMD until after 1.30am, so we are all a bit tired today.

With NBC switching channels for the broadcast we missed the first showing of the F1. Fortunately they rebroadcast in at 10:00 so we are watching that. Now we have to put up with commercials.

good race though, plenty of excitement.

Now moved on to the Indi, and the woman singing the national anthem is pathetic! Sounds like a opera canary!!

Must say that after riding up to the baseball yesterday i was quite taken with the idea of buying an A class RV, and touring, put a trailer on the back and drag Marilyn, sounds good to me. anyone know of a good diesel pusher going for almost nothing?

Hi Azzy

It sounds like you've been enjoying the weekend so far. I just finished fixing (finally!) the 2nd bathroom tub/shower plumbing.

I know you hate the whole plumbing thing. It is definitely a weird science, that's why plumbers get paid so much, the manufacturers don't help much either. Water, can't live without it. Wouldn't have minded if one of the sons wanted to be an Hydraulic's Engineer, ie Aussie fancy wording for souped up plumber, there are so many plumbers around our suburb in multi million dollars houses! So much of their work is "black money" ie cash with no tax paid, it is very easy for them to afford big houses, built by "friends".

Aggggghhh.

The local tv station has interrupted the Indy 500 coverage to show Air Force One taxi and then the local talking heads chat about the tornado. The President decided to tour the damage and make a speech. Wopie doo what is he going to say that is really newsworthy? And that interrupts the race.

One of my "Friends of a friend" has lived on cash all his life. He is 62 now and has zero credit because he has never has a loan. Never had a credit card or bank account. He drives new cars, has a nice boat and a house that he built. He has no savings except some cash. He has never ever paid income tax. He just realized he also has zero social security since he has never paid taxes.

well sucked in him, he will have to start selling off his assets, that will teach him not to have a private superannuation investment account somewhere overseas!!

Good to see that us honest hardworking taxpayers can have a laugh at the bludgers who seem to have it all, at our expense.

Beth and I dropped the top on the Boxster and headed up to crabtree falls Crabtree Falls - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Just about a forty min drive from my place. The hike was nice, the bottom half is all civilized and such and the top half will really make sure the unprepared city folk never see the summit. It was a perfect day for a hike, too bad pictures do not do the falls justice. The longest set of falls on the east coast, and you can only see sections of it at a time since it is so long.

Thanks, Rick, for the birthday wishes. And yes, I did notice that you waited until today.

Gorgeous pictures! I wish I could go hiking to a place like that today. Is it warm enough to sunbathe on those rocks?

I get to go to a crab boil party today. Yum! They want to use my surfboard as a prop.
