Just found out a 6 y/o drowned in the lake we were at yesterday while we were there. She fell in while fishing with no life jacket on..the current( I didn't know we had them on the lake) took her away.

It is amazing how many people will go fishing without a life jacket on. For a 6 year old that is criminal.

Granted we are on the boat so a life jacket in deep water is a no-brainer but, the kids always wear one.

In other news, our kitchen remodeling project at the SoCal house is now underway. The old crap has been yanked out and hauled away.

sad that parents don't take good enough care of their kids. I was always stuffed in a life jacket around water until I was definitely big enough to handle the water alone

I agree, Richard! Blech! Not in the mood for w*$&! today. Good thing is I working from home today. Gonna take my laptop and lay out poolside. Tan line Tuesday! I always get my tan in about four days and it lasts all summer. I even wear 30+ sunscreen. I tan so easily.

Sad about the little boy. I have to admit I am a hovering mother when it comes to the boys around water. In AZ, because we have so many pools, there are a lot of kid drownings. I keep my CPR current, pool fence always locked, and my little one with a life jacket. My older son swims like a fish but if I took him to the lake, he would wear a life jacket. It only takes one second. Scares me to death when we go to pool parties. You always hear about kids going unnoticed because of the gigantic inflatable pool toys they have now can hide a drowning kid. And someone always assumes someone is watching the kids. Whenever I have had a pool party, I have hired a babysitter with CPR training to specifically sit poolside to watch and nothing else.

I tan really easily too even with sunscreen but, I'm always cold so the weather has to be in the 80's before
I take my clothes off.

Trying something new today. Flaxseed, spinach, green tea, blueberry smoothie... Not too bad. The boys even drank some.

Yikes! I can eat dirt and nothing will happen to me. Maybe that's why I am a foodie. Nothing upsets my stomach and I love all food.

Only a few net carbs, tons of fiber, none of "inflamatory" effects of grains or other flours like almond meal/flour and it taste pretty damn good. One con IMO, it absorbs like crazy so if you add too much its super dry.

Ok, I think I just got asked out on a date but not sure. And I think I agreed but I am not sure. I am so bad at telling if guys like me or if they just want to be friends. It's a really good friend of mine's brother. We have hung out before but with her... In a group. He asked me to go grab dinner with him tonight. I said sure. But then now going hmmmmm... Did he ask me out? His sister isn't coming. She doesn't live in AZ anymore. Comments from the peanut gallery? Proceed? Proceed with caution? Or big deal out of nothing for clueless in dating girl?
