Nice one. Which vehicle?

I got some new torsion bars and spring plate bushings installed on the S today. Rebel Racing parts. 29mm bars to replace the 27mm ones. Should help cure the push in the turns. Already I can tell the ride is much more level, less pitching and bouncing.

I had to do a bunch of trig and some other math to figure out what the new spring plate setting should be. We didn't measure the angle with the car on the ground because we hadn't planned on doing the bars. So we had Clint's mom's 911 as a reference for ride height but it was lower than mine, so had to correct for that, plus the driveway sloped 2.4 degrees and my car was on jack stands. Also, his mother's car was pointed down the driveway but mine was up the driveway. We had the free-hanging angle on my car but it was a bit of mental gymnastics to get the amount of twist in the bar at static ride height. From there it was a simple 27^4/29^4 to get the new displacement, then convert back to what the angle-finder should read in the driveway.

It worked, so I was happy. It was a bit of an ordeal to get the driver side bar to the correct angle, though. For some reason the 1 inner spline forward + 1 outer spline back didn't seem to give us the advertised 0.8 degrees every time. The ride height looks good, though. And we found that the sides were indexed differently so we set them equal. The corner balance should be better but it needs to go to the scales soon. Also needs to have the alignment checked. We did pretty well by eye, judging by the drive home.

It was the highlight of our day. Thanks for spotting the low tire. We picked up a nail in it and had the tire repaired after we left the restaurant.

Morning Glen, Jim Janet, drive safe Rick.

Going to a work function get together today, have made my famous chocolate ripple rum thing with fresh berries etc, on top, will take a photo and post it when just before it starts to get eaten. It is very yummy.

Its Steve's birthday next week, so this week I have to make another cake to go to work on Friday, its a tradition, if its your birthday you bring the cake into work! On wednesday we are having a pot luck lunch at work, so I have to make something savoury for Steve to take to and I am making a sweet to go as well, it will be a busy coooking week as well as making dinner every night, busy week, and working as well, my days are full.

Although we don't work in the same project he is Romeo Helo and I am Growler Attack, we work in buildings side by side, and the Auzzies get together for functiuons.

My tax free pay went in the bank last week, a cool 12K for work so far, not bad, might be able to buy a Mustang soon!!!! Any body know of a nice one around 65-68 fast back would be nice, but a good small block (or large if it has one) matching numbers low rust, is what is on my wish list, and no convertibles, just couples or fast back.

Don't want much do I.

Time to go put washing and ironing away, I am washing and folding, Steve has been ironing yeah!! Not that he doesn't iron a lot, but today is a busy day, and since I am working pretty busy at the moment. So home duties can be left to slack off a bit.

I got the yard mowed yesterday. That chore is done. We are fixing to watch the F-1 race live. Gotta put up with commercials. Oh well.
