I think the funniest thing with tires is the blue protective covering they put on raised white letters or whitewalls is designed to wash off with water. Some folks don't want the tire shop to wash it off. They like to drive around and have everyone know they just got new tires. As if anyone cares. I was at a tire shop once and some guy was mad because they had washed off the blue. He made them take those tires off and put on new tires. My Elky tires have raised white letters. I have them mount that side on the inside. I think white letters and white walls look stupid.

But Richard, it looks great when that black crap slings off the tires and goes all over the body then the road dust sticks to everything.

When I wash my car I wash off the tires & rims. That is about it. The greasy black tires are indeed stupid. My wife takes her car to the dealer for an oil change. She can get the oil changed and they wash the car "for free" in 30 or 40 minutes and the cost of the oil & filter is almost the cost of the service. They used to put the balck gunk on the tires. She has to tell them not to.

Oh I am about to put my foot in someone's rear end. The county is clearing the ewer line that runs behind my property and they just drove a truck and trailer across my vacant lot. There is no right of way there.

Don't make the county workers mad. They may decide it is time to rip up the road in front of your house and then have to wait until spring to finish the job.

Oh they moved the equipment in a hurry. I was polite, I was calm, and I had my phone in my hand.
As for ripping up the road, they can't, it's a state owned road.
I knew one of the boys anyway, so it was no hassle.
