It's just gone in the oven (from/on the cast iron pan), you've got about 20min.

Packed up the Tojo and camper trailer this arvo - last camping weekend before it gets too hot. Heading a couple of hours up the Plenty Highway (west-north-west from town).

Beware everything out there is capable of killing you and you are not allowed by law to fight back

They can kill a full sized dog out here. They'll make you pretty crook and are known to cause necrosis. At worse, I've been told it hurts like fcuk.

All packed up, ready to roll - just got to trim the fridge temp so it don't freeze stuff.

This whole thing freaks me out because I was blind in that eye three years ago and I was just telling Sidney that I feel like it was coming back. I am sure any complications won't help my situation. And I am trying to work at the same time. Funny. You hurt your leg, nobody expects you to walk until you get crutches or heal. Hurt your eye and everybody thinks you should be still chugging along. Looking at the computer screen hurts like a mother. The light and straining makes my eye hurts. But yet I have the feeling that people at work think I am making it up or something. I have a report due today and I am doing a little, resting my eye, doing a little more, resting my eye but might still miss the deadline. This utterly sucks... Even typing this, I have to put my phone on dim setting. The brightness of the screen hurts.

I need to get into my cornea specialist today. I have been seeing him for three years. He says my eye looks like a kid he treated that got his eye burned by a firecracker.

Your steak looks good, Jeff.

Thanks Tweeze, Sharyn likes my meat too.

About twenty years ago I manged to give myself flash burns welding. I had to have my eyes flushed with a solution that also contained a local anesthetic. when they weren't being flushed they were covered with padding and bandages. I was blind for about a week and very lucky not to have permanent damage.

It was not a fun experience. I hope you get some relief soon - the local anesthetic eye wash was a big help.

Tweze, it is good you are going to see the cornea specialist. I presume is is a opthamologist not just a optometrist.

You computer has visual impairment settings. High contrast and LARGE fonts. The best solution is probably rest. Get a patch for that eye and keep it shut. Mostly follow the advice of the eye doc.

Good Friday morning folks.

At least Jeff is gonna have fun! Jeff, I am glad it is you going camping and not me. My idea of camping is no high speed internet or air conditioning.

The wolf spiders around here can run FAST. They are mostly harmless unless you are a bug or a smaller spider.
