Well last year we had probably a hundred children or more, almost ran out of candy. This year, we have very few kids come around, successfully scared the living daylights out of most of them, and some wouldn't even come anywhere near us. David was so funny he was a police looking Zombie dragging himself around the front yard, leg dragging, and almost tilting over, as the zombies do. Scared the little kids to bits. Very funny.

The neighbours,, they were creeping around in the dark in the front yard, and them sneaking up behind the children and screaming at them, hahahahahaha, kids were running out of their yard, forgetting their treat bags and screaming, so funny!! Parents were running in , so funny.

Time for me to hit the bed.

We had no trick or treaters. Mostly because we turned off all the outside lights and the fountain.

8 groups of kids, about 20 kids total, think only 1 kid (with parents in tow) was actually from our neighborhood. Did not include pizza delivery and the cable guy come to fix my internets.

This is the anniversary of moving into this house. We put the contract on our house on Friday the 13th and closed on Holloween. Bwah ha ha haaaa.

Keep the shades drawn, turn the phone off, and put a pillow over your head...

Okay, I am officially depressed.

Originally was planning to take a 3 week vacation starting with a weekend 928 GTG in Marble Falls TX and ending with going to the F1 race in Austin. The plan was to take my Mom to visit my sister in Mo. However after the mental loss from an stay with my sister a couple of months ago I do not want to do anything that will make her altzheimer's progress any faster than it already is. Seems taking them out of their environment and daily routine causes memory and ability loss.

Was really hoping I could at least go to the 928 GTG this weekend in Marble Falls TX, but could not find anyone to take care of Mom for a weekend let alone 3 weeks. Best I could find was the Charity, Sunbeam Family Services, the local PCA region supports would provide a nurse for 5 hours a week or a companion for 5 hours a week if she was more capable. Nobody offers anything for a caregiver to get away for more than a few hours at a time.

Really kind of pisses me off because I have been planning to take this vacation for over a year as a goal for my foot recovery. Nobody in my family is willing to take time from their lives to help, including a brother and sister that are retired and do NOTHING. This past September my sister insisted I bring Mom to stay with her for a couple of weeks. She didn't believe the visit would cause the altzhemer's to progress, it did, and even worse my sister couldn't wait until November for my planned vacation. Arrrrrgh.

I am so majorly bummed.

Sorry about your dashed plans, Richard. It's pretty lousy when all the caregiving is on the shoulders of one family member.

No trick or treaters here. We won't see any of that action until we're permanently out west.

I'm just starting my work day. Gonna be busy. Need to wrap up an engineering report. Eight hours away from a weekend. Enjoy!

Good Friday morning.

Bummer Richard. With all those brothers & sisters and cousins no one can help you out.
