Well fark....

The bug failed emissions...

I wouldn't need it if I carried collector car insurance, but I can't seem to get that as I'm not 25. I have applied with Hagerty to see what they say, but in the meantime, need to see if I can get the CO down on the little car.

For the 2 years I had my 928 GT there was a guy in Vegas with a Barney the Dinosaur Purple 928 that was in the body shop 4 different times. Each time he got it back he would get rear ended at a light again within 2 weeks. He swore the rear enders must have been parents that were sick of Barney and thought his 928 was Barney's car and hit hit out of some sort or sick revenge.

Had a numb nuts back into my BMW in a parking lot. The car he was driving was borrowed because, get this...He had already wrecked both his car and his insurance company rental within the past two weeks of hitting my car. I suggested he stop driving just for the safety of others.

I take it you're OK, Joe?

I wrote off my parents' Lexus when I got hit by a craptastic Mazda 626 doing about 40 mph. Lexus sacrificed its life (though I was able to drive it home), and I didn't feel a thing.

Yeah, my neck is a little sore, but I'm alright.
Cosmetically, the entire bumper of the rover is gone. It took the tow truck driver a half hour to separate the vehicles. I drove the rover home and I'll drop it off at the shop in the morning, but it seemed a bit off on the drive home so I'm not sure of it's fate.

Wow. Hope you are still OK in am. At least it was the rover beast he hit. Probably saved you from more aches and pain.

The idiot probably would have died had I been in my Series Landy.....nothing flexible to give like the number did and my bumper was most of the way up her hood as it was. In the Lotus, I'd have gone flying....

Mom's 90 year old uncle had a wreck and his very nice old buick convertible was totaled. His 70 year old kids he lived with were trying to keep him from getting another car. He had the police come by and explain to his kids that as he was going thru and intersection and kid came around a blind corner at over 80 mph and t-boned him. Nobody, unless they had esp could have avoided being hit by that kid. Uncle's kids finally gave in and he got another really nice old Buick convertible. He sure was proud of it. He was very mentally and physically capable until he passed from an aneurism he had for 6 years that was to close to his spinal cord from them to remove. He passed only one month before his 100th birthday.

Kinda funny, he had two brothers. One of the two was a health nut. He had to have a special diet of organic "healthy" foods when he came to visit and was always working out and jogging. The health nut brother didn't live past 50 before he passed from a hear attack. The other two almost made 100.

Have I got some stories or what?

I had a moron rear end me during a snow storm about 20 years ago. I was in my Elky sitting at a left turn red light. There is snow and ice all over the road and the dipstick was honking as he slid into me. I guess he thought I would just pull out into traffic and run the red light if he honked. At least it let me brace for impact. The dipstick was in a fairly new Honda econobox that just folded up. He was not going to drive anywhere. The cops had already announced that unless it was an injury accident just exchange info and go on.

There was a tow truck two cars behind him that just took the call and loaded him up.

It left a little tiny crease on my bumper that is still there. It did knock an lot of ice and snow off of my Elky. The crease is still there and it is still just a tiny little vertical crease. I was just real glad I was not in my Porsche that day.

Friggin 30 here...

All the way across my shoulders is sore as hell today. Took a look at the Rover, cosmetically, It looks like around $1k in parts that don't need paint. Not sure if anything structural got tweaked though.
