The big difference between the blendtec and the vitamix is the blades. The vitamix is a bit lower power, but compensates with sharp blades, the blendtec is higher power, but uses blunted blades and just beats the **** out of whatever you put in.

???? Vitamix claims they rely on speed not blade sharpness.

No problem, both awesome machines they just get the same job done in slightly different ways.

I use mine to make hummus a good bit as well as soup bases and uncooked tomato sauce

Welp, got some driving done

Mrs Carrera decided to ride along. First stop was down Rt 66 to Pop's. They claim to have one of any bottle of soda available for sale anywhere.

Next stop the round barn on Rt 66 about two miles further down the road.

Then up to Guthrie Ok.

This is the Masonic Temple

Downtown Guthrie. This is the site of the first state capital. The city where rain man went to the Doctor.

Back home and it was a 75 mile round trip.

No oil leaks, no problems.

When I got the BoxsterS new some of the break-in miles were to a Tulsa PCA breakfast on old Route 66 so there would be lots of stops and up and down speeds as opposed to just cruising 75 all the way on the turnpike.
