From what I have heard Fosters is not even sold in the local bars and restaurants, and certainly not to locals.

The winds are winding down. It is not too bad now just 28 mph winds. There were some 65 mph gusts in northern OK.

Evening Y'all,
Noah, no joy from the boys at Honda. I got the blank stares and advice to turn the radio up. Just send me the car I'll figure it out for ya.
Speaking of Honda's the title clerk at work is doing all of my DMV work on the accord so I don't need to deal with that and I will have all weekend to get the bomber road worthy.

Forget the fart can muffler. I'll go old school redneck and just straight pipe it.

I just fixed the exhaust last month for the P.O now that I remember. It has new exhaust on it already so no loud mods

HPDE after the 2014 Porsche Parade

I will only be able to stick around on the 21st. I will have to get on the road for home on the 22nd.

Jim, you need to schedule another workcation for the week of Parade. It would be great to meet up you you and the Mrs.
It says that some Caymans have trouble with the 92dB limit. If that is true, then I might be out of luck. However, POC is having a race the next weekend (https://porscheclubracing.org/wp-content/uploads/2013/12/2014-POC-Season-schedule-to-go.pdf) and they have a higher limit of 105dB, though you still see really ugly, un-aerodynamic directional muffler rigs. I do know that Clint from Rebel Racing runs Laguna in a car similar to mine, though he had a CIS motor in it last time and a quieter exhaust.

There is plenty going on up there. Might have to go up twice.

Eidt: just realized no PDS (aka STS or HPDE) on the POC weekend so I would be spectating only.

My car might pass the 92dB, at least if I lift by the sound booth. It is certainly a lot louder inside the car than out.

I can't compete in Cup Races or Time Trials (now Time Attack) because I am a total beginner. For people like me they used to have the Short Track Series (STS) which was basically a competetive DE (driver education- instructors, classroom, etc.) at the Streets of Willow. That became PDS (Performance Driving Series) as it branched out to the Fontucky roval. It used to be a separate series but this year they are running racing and DE on the same weekends, at least at Willow Springs (the big track- the fastest road in the west). Many people are not too happy about the changes, but mostly the changes to the Time Trials which mean no clean laps anymore.

Anyway, POC isn't having their DE series on their Laguna Seca weekend with the louder sound limit, so my only chance to drive would be the PCA event.

I don't have a compliant helmet but I don't know what else I need to run with PCA or POC.
