Just replaced the motor/tranny mounts in the 911 over the weekend. It went from feeling like a model T at a stop light to feeling like a brand new car. I also removed the A/C compressor and condenser while I was at it. Broke my finger in the process. Fiancé told me, no working on cars 3 months before the wedding.....haha

I replaces all my engine & transmission mounts while the engine was out and it was super simple. I have had numerous busted knuckles, burns & cuts but never a broken bone while working on cars. I learned to start using the mechanics gloves when doing some tasks and those are wonderful for reducing a lot of blood loss on my part. Good Monday morning folks.

Yea, and they are ugly.
The Nippindenso on my car is less ugly. It will remain in place. It keeps my cabin cool. Driving through Death Valley in June in a few weeks it will be a wonderful thing to have pumping along back there.

When 5 years old went with Dad to visit his friend a coworker a Kimray. He and his wife, Von and Jenny Hayflea were out in their small unattached one car but immaculate well organized garage. They were working on his hot rod, a Gremlin. Both were wearing light blue coveralls with their names embroidered in red above the chest pocket. He was wrenching and she was handing him tools. When he handed a tool back, she cleaned it and put it in it's proper place.

I just have the Griffith's "Dual Kuhel" system. I added the two condensers in the rear fender, replaced all the hoses, new evaporator, replaced the receiver-dryer and added the adjustable vents. Since my 911 is an 85 with the tiny side AC vents adding the bigger vents on the sides and making the venter vent at the floor adjustable helps a lot. It blows COLD air even on 100+ degree days.
Griffith's products are 100% top quality and have the best instructions you will ever see. They ain't cheap but top quality never is. It is no doubt the best modification I have done to my 911. It allows me to drive the car in the summer and be comfortable. For many years I suffered with the stock AC. I would not drive my car in the worst of the hot summer. Now I can drive it anytime I want and my wife car ride with me.

I was looking at the Griffith system. I am not afraid to shell out a little extra for a good quality system that will last me.

That is what he sells. It is easy to do and as I mentioned the instructions are the best ever for anything. He has the best tech support as well. Call or email and you get the answer to the question. He will make up a system to fit you and you car's needs.

I have been trying to hook up a quick disconnect for the hydraulic hose for my scissor lift. I got the disconnect from a local HUGE hose supply company. I went in there and had the misfortune of getting the new lady counter helper. I showed her what I needed and my own ignorance of the hydraulic fittings added to her lack of expertise I did not get the proper converters to make it fit.
I went back today and had the great fortune of getting the old grey. He instantly knew what I needed to get from the 1/4 MIP. I needed one MJ x MP and one MP x FJX. A whopping $2.25 and I was in business. The old grey went to fetch one part and it was right at the end of the closest isle. Then he said the other part is at the far end of the warehouse. He hopped on a little electric scooter and zipped off. It a bit like the warehouse in the first Indiana Jones movie. He said the part could not be further from the first part. He was gone for 4 or 5 minutes. When the lady went to ring it up she asked if he had written down the part numbers. He just frowned and said I don't need to write something that simple down. The first one is a 2404-01-04 and the other one is a 6505-01-04. I asked him how long he had worked there and he said 38 years.

Evening Y'all, I hate my job. and now that I am done being captain obvious, when I removed the ac from Lanna I scaled the weight and it was either 72lbs or 78, I don't remember. The only thing I left was the blower and ducts for the cabin so I can have additional forced air. I never looked back
