Like awesome dude far out.

It's Friday!!!

Going to meet up with some area 928 owners for lunch today. The place has 350 beers, which one should I get?

Here is the link to the June Beer Menu

Sounds like Glen is having a good time as usual at the event.

When we were in CA over Christmas break it took us almost 8 hours to get from La Brea tar pits to El Centro. I know you LA area guys know how to deal with the traffic, but I couldn't live there. The county I live in has one town that has stop lights and no, I don't hear anyone playing a banjo/guitar duet. For the longest time the town had one stoplight. Now it has a few. We are close to Dubuque and Madison if we need anything we can't get locally. We have a national award winning cheese store a few miles away.

Rick the Stick, do you ever have a busy day?

Ran over to Laguna Seca to get a lay of the land. Tech at 3:00 to 7:00. It looks like they decided I was so experienced I don't get an instructor. Crap. They said I might talk someone into a ride along on the first session. A super scary track with no instructor for me.

There's a really remote possibility I'm flying into San Jose in September.

What for and how long?
A conference for about a week.

Trying to organise someone else to pay for the trip is proving difficult.

Morning y'all

Well, since no-one offered any beer suggestions I just went for the low calorie option, Michelob Ultra Light. Not much of a beer connoisseur.

One of the guys got a nitro beer. It poured weird. The bubbles started from the top then sank down instead of bubbling from the bottom up.

Another guy drove his 928, it is all stripped down to make it very light weight and had swapped in an LS1. I'm just not sure why people do that, but hey, to each their own.

One of the guys found a 53 Mercedes for $1000 that hasn't been driven for years. A couple of them are going together to flip it like Wayne on Chasing Classic Cars. The plan is to get it running and drivable and sell it as a barn find. They think they can get at least $15K for it.

Not a big fan of engine swaps like that, especially when a 426 Hemi would be a much better option

The guy fabs up all the particulars to make the swap and sells a kit. He also has a kit for the 944. My Porsche V8 sounds better.

Crap, wish I'd looked earlier....lots of nice summer options on that list that would have been fine for the novice beer aficionado.

They probably can get 15k out of that benz if they get it drivable.

We stuffed our rucks, our weapons are hot!
Lucky to get three hots and a cot!

He had some pics of the Benz and it looked pretty clean to me. Claimed it was running when they parked it (sure sure, they all say that). And yes, the pics were taken in front of the barn it had been sitting in.

It looked like this one..
