Though curious to see how the Cayenne does on the slick roads, in NO HURRY what-so-ever to find out.

He was playing and acting 100% normal. No sign something is hurting. I think he wants to sleep in our bedroom. We keep them in the laundry room at night and they have a doggie door. They seem very happy to go to the laundry room.

Snow? I don't think I remeber what that's like. I've already adjusted to winter being that time of year that's 70degrees and sunny!

I'm looking forward to the no-s%#* adjustment.

Regarding the dog barking issue, I'm a bigger fan of positive reinforcement methods than I am the negative stuff like shock collars and the like. YMMV

Man, it is busy here. I have 6 different oblique aerial jobs and 7 old historical negatives of a former refinery to do. I am making Mr Sid files from Jpeg2000 files, and answering the phone. This is almost like work. It is going to cut into my nap time.

One of the positive reinforcement methods to get rid of bad behavior is to train the behavior to be done on command. Then the subject tends to not do the behavior unless commanded.

Did this with my smart dog, Camber for both barking and digging. Did not work for either on my alpha dog, Camber. However, Camber only barks when we are home and someone comes to the door. And the only digging she does is to dig up toads in the spring. So not a big deal for me.

Camber is very difficult to train. She gets focused on the treat to the exclusion of everything else.

Dang it is still a busy day and now I even get some physical exercise!

I have a DVD of those old aerials and the customer was wining that they needed them Monday. I can't FTP 4 gig of data but I can mail it. The mail man has been here already so I walked to the PO drop box next to the OSBI. It is a pretty day and I can walk round trip faster than driving it. And I still have not had my nap. I may have to have a beer.

My wife and I took the day off and went for a drive in the countryside. We went over to Harpers Ferry National Park and goofed around there for a while, then went for more driving around the countryside. We managed to zoom around one of my favorite twisty roads, too. Falls colors this year are so-so, but at least we managed to get out and enjoy them.

The trees are just beginning to turn colors down here. It will be next week at least before they are in full color.
