The little Estes was a whopping $30.....there's a blade guard available on amazon for a couple bucks...

I've been thinking about doing the kickstarter for the sky prowler......it looks wicked

Looks like that Chimera thing has a propensity towards poor air to ground interface.

Flitetest has some cool builds out of foam board. Lots of instructions on how to make stupid cheap planes... When we have our Stijn meet we should all bring a foam board airplane and have some challenges, the last being a dogfight!

Dog fighting in 3 dimensions with an RC plane is more difficult than it sounds. Sure sounds fun though.

There was a plane called the Duraplane that guys would fly it back and forth across the range while everyone shot at it with shotguns. It flew for about 15 minutes before someone actually managed to hit the radio.

We're supposed to get another blast of that white crap tonight/tomorrow. Blech. Please be Spring soon!

Even s*#@ can't dampen my mood too much. I checked this morning and our DC and federal tax refunds are now in our bank account.

DST this weekend.

Weather forecast looks pretty good for us. Temps in the 30s and 40s this weekend.

At this point I will take anything above 0.

Better get my wheels done soon.

Good late humpday folks.

The weather forecast last night was for rain coming in at 3:00 AM turning to freezing rain about 7:00 and then sleet and followed by several inches is white crap. Well OK, he did not actually say white crap on TV, it was worse he just used that horrible and offensive 4 letter S word! And not the slang term for feces, the really bad word!

The university where my wife works canceled classes and work. The schools are all closed and we slept in until 7:30. I looked outside to see dry pavement. So I came to work. There were a few drops of rain as in a dozen or so on my trip in. It was not too difficult to get around with just a drop of rain every half mile.

I will keep a close eye on the radar and boogie outta here if the crap does arrive. Now they claim about noon. The worst part is this delayed my coffee by over a hour and a half. The good news is I was sleeping during most of that delay.

I have a new toy arriving from Amazon so I wanted to be here to get it today. 500GB SSD for my home computer. That should speed things up!

Last night coming home from Sam's I was going down a section of road that is not real busy and has a light every mile. Some crazy guy (I assume it was a male) in a new Camaro came flying up from behind and slowed down to pace me side by side. My Elky is not a go fast machine at all, I could have made it that way but I have zero interest in that. Anyway the dude suddenly took off like a rocket and then slowed down to pace along side me again. I suspect he wanted to race me. I can't even think of one single reason why I would want to, even if I had a fast car. I can't think of one positive reason to do that. We pulled up to the light side by side and the second it turned green he was off like a shot. I just turned left and mosied my way home. My left turn signal was on but he could not see it from the right lane.

This is what is making the weatherman cuss. The storm split and is going around OKC. I love it. Split baby split. This seems to happen with rain as well. It just seems to split and go around us.

Used to get that all the time from Mustangs, Camaros, and Firebirds when I drove my 951s. Don't know why, it wasn't loud

When I had loud pipes on my 928 I noticed those types of cars actually slow down and avoid pulling up next to me at lights.
