If you weren't 2000 miles away I'd have a hard time passing on a $5k Boxster.

It needs some attending to, and I am not one who thinks my chit is worth more than it is. 5K is a fair price both ways

Normally I'd be weary of a Boxster so cheap but I know buying from you the mechanicals will be fine and you will know any issues there might be.

Still a little worried about the IMS bearing thing though, just because it would get expensive quick if it ever did go.

Max, my car still has the original OAS in it, those IMS issues come from the way the cars are treated and maintained.
I keep good service on the car, I don't use it for short trips and I am always up against the rev limiter, you can not let a 2.5 have an easy life, they were meant to be run and run hard. It still pulls better than most cars in it's class, and she loves to have her a55 hanging out

The biggest thing keeping me from getting something like that is that I don't have space for 2 cars and Monday through Friday I only drive a few miles between home work and grocery store- lots of short trips. I don't really feel bad about that on a Ford Focus (and I do longer trips on the weekend) but I wouldn't want to subject any Porsches to that, especially an M96/M97 engine car. I could ride a bike to work but it would be hard to carry groceries with a bike, hence the car. Not to mention the weather protection.

I'd have no problem hitting the limiter on the weekends, though. But the 911 is good for that too.

Yeah see I drive 25 miles one way to work on some roads that were made for carving, and I not sure if you have ever been to the country in central Va. but most of the roads were designed by drivers, they did a very good job here, it is a haven for a Porsche, or any other car that needs to breathe

Easter dinner was good, but it was Ham instead of Lamb. Guess preparing roast lamb for 22 would have been a bit much.

Found out something that clears up a couple of things...

Got hungry for a fresh donut so went to Dunkin Donuts. Asked what they did with the leftover donuts. They guy said they have a pig farm that both the donuts, and coffee goes to.

That must be why bacon is so good. It's made of coffee and donuts!

Also might explain why they call police officers pigs.

Man, a dad's work is never done:

We left my daughter at my sister's house today to spend a few days with her cousins(girls). We are going to keep them later in the week.

Got a call from her around 8:30pm that she wanted to come home. Oi. Hey, it's only 80 miles there and 80 miles back(4 times now just today).

She told me that she wasn't sure she could sleep because the cousin she was rooming with doesn't use a night light.

How can people sleep without a night light?

That's why there is a moon and stars!

I don't mind the dark, I just don't like bumping into stuff half asleep. Turning on lights to get around is too harsh.

I actually prefer the house to be pitch black at night, the only thing I need to worry about bumping into in the dark is a cat and after fifty years of living with cats I have learned how to walk in the dark and not step on one, I may kick one but not step on.
My monster thinks it's a game to try and trip me.

I prefer it to be dark as well. We keep a lamp on in case the kids get up to the bathroom in the night. She has a small lamp in her room that must be on at night, though.

She slept all the way home in the truck.

Rick--are those Centerlines on the Z28?

If that was a Trans Am I'd ask if you were living in a trailer.
