Got a letter last week to extend the warranty on the 07 X3 that I haven't owned for over 5 years.

Yea I got the letter in the mail recently that said the factory warranty on my car was going to expire soon and I should renew it with the company that wrote the letter. I pretty much figure they were maybe in error. I don't think any car ever had a 30 year 350,0000 mile warranty. It would be nice, the turn signal is not self canceling turning left. It is a real pain take the steering wheel apart far enough to get to it and replace it. It takes me all dang day to get down to it and get it all back together.

Dear GLEN,
Based on our records, your 1986 Chevrolet El Camino is due for its 339,000 mile manufacturer recommended service. Click here to schedule your appointment online 24 hours a day or call in the next 30 days to receive the following promotion:

They want to change my oil. It would be interesting to see just how many manufacturers have a recommendation for a 339,000 mile service.

The computer is figuring I drive a bit more than I do. I am only up to 337,500 miles. I will do my scheduled 338,000 mile oil and filter & lube in a couple of weeks.
Changed the oil in the Durango over the weekend. We aren't catching up much since my wife doesn't go very far during the week, but during the 184k mile oil change I forgot to put the 710 cap back on. Good thing they are cheap. I guess I am getting old and forgetful.

At least the weather has been nice the last few days. Hope it holds for Oshkosh.

Left part number 710 sitting on top of the radiator on the GTS. Good thing it has that ram air thing, it just sucked the cap over to the inlet to the ram air on top of the radiator instead of losing it. Bet Porsche made that inlet small enough part number 710 wouldn't get sucked into the intake system.

The only time I have ever left off that 710 cap was when I changed the oil on my wife's Mercedes. It had enough positive crankcase pressure that it blew oil everywhere in the engine compartment. Within a mile she smelled oil and turned around. The cap was right on top of the air cleaner where I put it. I had to power-wash the engine. She has not had me do her oil changes since. I was crushed.

I need some topless maids and a dirty staircase.

In other news, my SC continues to prove it's the biggest piece of garbage I've ever owned, seriously, it's junk.

1st world problems.........

Put the Lotus on auto trader 12 days ago. It's had 200 views.
Put the Lotus on fleabay 22hrs ago and it's had almost 500 views.

Fuch auto trader. Plus, after listing on AT, I started getting spam email and calls from people that want to sell me marketing services

No oil everywhere, but it wasn't driven very far.

SauCy, that statement is relative. It could still be a really nice piece of junk if the other stuff is really really nice junk.

Mine was a 1979 Dodge Magnum with a 360 and a stupid piece of crap 904LA transmission. That transmission is as bad as the 727 is good. The Cobra has an a833. It won't break, but I did twist the transmission mount pretty bad. I got it fixed and put a mid-plate in the thing and solid mounts. It shakes the car a bit at idle, but it really improved the feel of the throttle response. No rubber to take up the initial torque.

Probably something big and boring for a while.
Driving the Lotus around here is scary as hell with all the tourists and elderly. The county is averaging a traffic fatality every 3 weeks this year....its insane.

Keep going guys, I'm thinking no reserve...

I paid $1 to may Father In Law...it's since cost me well north of $15k and it's still one issue after the next. You wouldn't mind, but I have a THICK folder full of the money he and the PO to him wasted on the dang thing over the years...it's always been well cared for.

I'd love to put miles on it, problem is, it won't work long enough to confidently get an ice cream.

I'm chompin' at the bit for a Termi Cobra Convertible......

Funny thing is the gentleman I recently helped sell his '83 SC, fell out of love with his Porsche because of an '06 GT. He sold that a couple weeks ago and scored a 12k mi Hurst GT
