Well, of course. Since they picked up all the limbs this morning...I got the rest of them out this afternoon. Actually have more out now than I had before. Imagine my neighbors love me. Talked to the pickup people and they said they were coming around a second time.

Yawn...stretch...Good Morning.

Thought the idea of walking the dog was so the dog would get exercise and burn up some of the nervous energy? Well maybe it has a physical problem.

For a while when 3 yo my parents used to cart me around in a wheel borrow because couldn't put any weight on my legs so they would grow the same length. Got some kind of weird infection effectng my leg growth. Played baseball in grade school and found later, HS age, wasn't supposed to. Was only supposed to do things like pedaling a bike, which I did a lot of. Had lots of pedal toys growing up. When HS aged Doc said could play sports, but would involve a lot of leg pain. Didn't play any sports but spent a lot of long nights with my legs hurting anyway.

Is a person retarded if the is nothing wrong with them except they are just really stupid?

Have a cousin that is my age that is a mongoloid with downs syndrom. Mentally he's about 14 or 15. Lives in community with a bunch of others and works there where they package things and wrap them in plastic.

Ask because SIL has a son from another marriage that has nothing wrong with him except he is just stupid. He works as a cook and has an apartment but can't figure out how to drive a car so walks everywhere. Can't even ride a bike. Talking to him he just doesn't get anything. Asked and SIL says docs can't find anything wrong just a very low IQ. His Mom checks on him to make sure his is buying and fixing food and taking care of himself a few times a week.

He was living with his Mom and she was taking care of him when my Brother first started dating her. Think my brother got him into Job Corps and he did really well. They where teaching him to be a cook found he did really well with baking and sent him to San Francisco to train under some big name bakery chef. When finished there he was supposed to go spend a year in France with some big name pastry chef. He quit a couple of months before he was to go to France. Said he was just doing prep work. Job Corps people and us all told him all he had to do was work for these chefs to put on his resume and he would be set. He could work anywhere he wanted as a bakery chef and easily open his own place because banks would give him a loan because of it, that's that is how the chef thing works. He just didn't get it. What an opportunity.

Good morning folks. I tried to get on Pelican several times yesterday and I guess the site was down or super slow.

I bought the first 6 episodes of Star Wars and we watched episode 1&2 yesterday. I don't remember if I ever saw episode 2 before.

I am anxious to get to episode 4. I don't think I have seen that in 30 years or so.

Watched Star Wars "A new Hope" volumn IV, (which is actually the first one) today,. I plan on seeing volumn 5 and volumn 6 before seeing the new movie.....just to get the backstory straight in my mind.

The amount of paperwork and redtape BS required to work on a commercial ship is staggering.

Went to see the new Star wars movie last week, it was great, loved it, very old school, no great CGI crap.

Azzy, I hope you're enjoying better weather than we are. It was 17F with a 15 mph wind outside, so it felt like it was around 0F. We had light snow flurries yesterday afternoon, but it didn't stick. I can't wait for spring and my escape to SoCal!

We'll probably wait for the Star Wars movie to make it to Netflix. We're cheap.

We just finished 1,2 & 3. Not great movies. Parts of it looked like animation. It had a "Cars or Toy Story" look and feel for much of it.

It is interesting to see the back story and to see the process of Darth Vader turning from good guy to evil bad guy.

Probably the best part was seeing what a bad ass R2D2 really is. He is a tough little droid. He has a lot of attachments and abilities.

Of course he was really profane, every single word he said had to be bleeped.

Good COLD Monday morning folks.
