I use a brush one near our house for the DDs. Our water is so damn hard it's nearly impossible to not get water spots, especially when it's 110 out. Using the brush place the soften the water and the air dry gets it all off. The Porsche just gets a hand wipe down in the garage with waterless wash.

Remember when I was a kid my brother's friend moved to Phoenix. His friend was going to build waterless car washes.

How come only peppers or hot stuff continues to be "enjoyed" the next day. Why not chocolate cake or apple pie. Even better would be beer!

Wow, I got sucked into the cesspool that is PARF for a while today. note to self: don't even look at the threads there.

Daughter and I took a ride to Frankenmuth tonight to take pictures of her doing a handstand in various locations. There is a riverboat and we waited for it to chug by so we could get the timing right. We did.

She wins a gift card to her gymnastic pro shop if her pic is chosen. We must have taken 30 pics.

Thanks Jim. I don't know why it posted sideways, though. I took our good camera but couldn't catch the pose due to the delay when pressing the button. I used my cell phone for most of them after that.

We are going to look through all of them today and pick out the one she likes and then print it. She wanted to do one on the bridge railing over the river but the Dad in me thought that wasn't a good idea.

Happy Monday!

Yea, she is too young to be saying "Hold ma beer and watch this!"

Good Monday morning all. Except Jim, Happy Saturday.

I waited until the temperature got back down to double digits before mowing the yard. I had to hurry and get out there before it got too cold!

Richard, our electric coop wanted to put a device on the electric water heater to control it during peak usage and then we would get a discount on the rates. We like the idea since the water is heated by the geothermal unit during the hot/cold times of the year. The water heater is set at 125* but the water comes out at 131* when the geo is on.

All the local car washes here have to recycle the water so...

I did get Ramen our Nissan washed and waxed and Rain-Xed for our trip west. Still have to get Mae and Steve done. Mae is the 2000 Durango trying to catch up to Glen's Elky in miles and Steve is our bright blue Avenger.

Tried out the new grill. We did venison steaks Friday which ended up with the pink smoke ring on them and burgers for my wife's birthday last night with apple wood. It has the gas burner side too but we haven't bought gas for it yet. This one burns a lot hotter than the old grill so I have to get used to that. Of course being a grill snob I use only natural chunk charcoal as well.

Wayne, nice pic, hope she wins! I didn't think there were many boats like that in that area. Then again, I didn't know there were so many warships on the great lakes 130 years ago either.

It's a pretty cool boat but a tourist trap like most of Frankenmuth. It really is a beautiful little town behind the scenery.

It actually has an outboard motor for propulsion. The bridge in the background was built by the Amish with no nails or screws. It is low enough that the boat crew has to split the smokestacks to pass. When we would take our Sunday morning in the 911 we met an retired GM engineer who told us he designed the split stacks and the motor setup that would under drive the paddle wheel. Not sure if he was feeding us a line but he sure knew a lot about it.

Most of the paddle wheelers hare are actually paddle wheel driven. Our daughters 5th grade field trip was on this one.

morning all. I did take Friday off and had a blast with the youngest. Last night on the other hand was no fun. I must have had a reaction to the ABX I am taking. About mid night I started itching all over and broke out in hives. Didn't get to sleep till about 2am and now I'm at work.

Brent-that's a cool boat. The river in Frankenmuth is pretty shallow and short so the boat just goes to the end and comes back.

David--what is ABX?
