Pretty sure I remember having a McD burger at a stop on the turnpike somewhere near Wichita Matt... On the way to Manhattan...

Couldn't afford a McDonalds burger until in my 20s...so I make up for lost time whenever I get a chance. I had my first Big Mac when stationed in Germany...and it hooked me. As far as bang for your buck, I could live on the dollar green chili double cheeseburger they sell in New Mexico.

I perfer a FatBurger or an In and Out Burger when in Las Vegas or LA...but they sure cost a lot more...and neither are available in NM. I really love the sliders at White Castle...or at Krystals down south.

I would like to buy a McRib to send to Major Hassan at Fort Hood...and force him to eat every bite.

it tastes consistently crappy every time. I'd rather stop at the local roach coach and take the gamble!

And let's not get started about how good for you it is. I don't mind fast food but McDonalds is at the bottom of my list. If I want to eat unhealthy, I go for something that's worth it. If I clog my arteries, it better be GREAT - real food - say a steak, some home made bratwurst or or some real ribs, like off a pig with bones in it.

I used to live on fast food, Mc D's, Taco hell, Hardies, ect. I quit about 15 years ago and I don't eat the typical fast food junk. Just the smell of a big mac (who decided it was big anyway) makes me want to hurl.
Like said before, if I am gonna clog my arteries it is going to be with real pig, still on the bone. Mc D's isn't below me, I just refuse to eat it. My body is thanking me.

The big reason I hate the golden arches is service, or lack thereof. There always seems to be a line. If you want anything even slightly different than the way they normally make it, it will take a LONG time. There are just too many other places to eat that provide a fast quality meal with no hassles. I will eat at McDonald's for breakfast when I am on the road. There is one just blocks from my house. I have never been inside.

I have to agree. They may be consistent in taste, but service is entirely another story. When I used to eat at McD, half time I'd use the drive through, they had to redo or add to my order because it was wrong. Plus the fact it really started to bug me that I received more accurate service if I ordered in Spanish.

Cheddar melt!

I like McD. Sure it feels like you ate a leather football after finishing but that's ok. Just don't eat it every day.

Funny reading people complaining about service on something that costs $5. Jeez.

The Mc rib looks like it was peeled off the undercarriage of a car, knarly

I'm good for a 1 buck double cheese burger once a week at McDonald's

There is a Carl's Jr that is just south of San Antonio, or was when I lived in the Houston area. I discovered this on the way to Laredo.

Whattaburger is pretty good, BK uses the microwave on their burgers, and that is just wrong. Just get yourself some KC Masterpiece BBQ sauce, some onion rings and a Whattaburger with cheese and you are golden.

Hey, when you're about to ingest what will become a two-day bowel obstruction, you should at least get what you ordered.

I'm not crazy about fast food in general. Mc rib doesnt taste bad but all you're really tasting is the barbecue sauce anyway. That close up picture is NASTY I dont know if I'd eat one now or not.
