Am away from my laptop, but tomorrow will post pics of the sunset over Avila Beach just north of Pismo. Rode the GS for a getaway at a hot springs and hiked up the hill to catch the sun fade. Just need to beat some rain in the am heading back home.

Wow, I love the "no wind" weather you have.

Southern CA is nice.

If you have $5M or more.

And you like speaking Spanish.

We got 2" of snow here. Big deal. I also enjoyed a day with no traffic and paid 0% sales tax for some xmas shopping.

Some aspects of SoCal are nice (if you're filthy rich) but otherwise it's not a place I'd be in a great hurry to waste more of my time in again anytime soon.

Did some yardwork in the back yard this sunny Southern California morning, while the kids played on the swingset we got them for the holidays. We got a hoot out of watching one of our cats climb up the ladder and go slipping down the slide. He must have had fun, too, because he did it a couple times more. Then we collected oranges from our tree next to the swingset and went inside to squeeze ourselves some fresh OJ.

We also talked to my in-laws in New England via Skype. THey told us of how they couldn't even open the front door, as there were 2 feet of fresh snow on the ground.

It was a gorgeous day here in OK too... Almost no wind... Which is VERY rare. Played with one of those little cheap battery powered HF planes that just goes on its own.... Found it in a box in the garage... They never used to be any good b/c of the wind....

Our 10acres wouldn't contain it today....

I hate boating.

So your gloating is lost on me.

I however did hi speed donuts in a snow filled parking lot for a whole hour. Beat that on your silly floating bath tub.

There is no such thing as a beautiful day in Oklahoma in my recollection.

Only times I've been in OK were summer and it was hotter-n-hades then...

I like OK because it isn't Nebraska though. Or Iowa. Iowa was 4+ hours of driving through a cow-schit factory last time I was through there. Literally border to border was like being in one of those composting "solar toilets" on a roasting summer day - only with the added pleasures of 90% humidity and bugs the size of pigeons everywhere. Bleah. I literally had to stop at a gas station convenience store and get a package of those pine-scented air freshener trees and stick them under the brim of my baseball cap just to make the stench tolerable. I literally drove for several hours like that with green air fresheners shoved under my cap brim. It was horrid.

OK just smelled like dry hay. Kinda' nice actually. But damn was it hot...

Yes Jeff... It can be hotter than hell here.... Plus our famous winds... There are days its like living in a Convection oven... But our cheap property and relaxed gun laws make it worth it.
