Had one call the shop yesterday. They wanted me to take a credit card over the phone to put a muffler on an Escalade that was being towed from Louisiana. We are in Southern Illinois. I almost did it. Everyone on the phone is honest right? I mean it's not the internet we're talking about.

This is a scam, I know but wondering how? What do they do with general information like names, Address, Country, Nationality,Phone, Age, Occupation?

They just get you going, there isn't anything they can do with that personal information. It is an advance fee fraud like any other. They will need a few grand from you first, sent by Western Union, to get some hitches out of the way before they can send you the money.

I found out yesterday from B of A that my accounts had been compromised so I immediately clicked on the B of A link, entered my account info and am now protected. Whew, that was close! Especially considering that I don't bank at B of A.

If I understand you correctly, you received an email from BoA telling you that your account is suc and such and there s a link to your account from the email?
You said you click on that link than entered your login and password? Do you really get to your account after that?
Usually it can be a fraud email. They send you their own link which look like your bank account. After you entered your logn and password, they capture it and you are gone.
If that is the case, you should check your account right away and if nothing happens yet, change your password righ away.
