My Daughter Was Accused of Sexual Harassment
At school. There will be a stern lecture tonight!
 Could have been worse I suppose. She could have been in public school eating a piece of candy and been expelled for a week. Notice violation "R. Weapon" Worst consequence is detention. How will I manage to live through the shame and embarrassment?  Did I mention she is in the 4th grade?

Wouldn't a person/child have to be aware of what "sex" is before they could be guilty of "sexual" harassment? Isn't this more accurately just a case of hitting another kid in the butt?

Stupid.
Reminds me of a teacher that called me about my son once; he was going on and on about a trivial little thing involving a squirt gun. After a few minutes of his ramble I interupted him and said, "Can I ask you a question?" He said, "yes", of which I replied, "Do you have any children of your own?" I knew the answer, he replied, "no". I said, "I'll deal with it, good-bye." That notice takes the cake, makes me really appreciate how my kids turned out. |

My daughter was accused of whipping a BA at an elementry school bus when she was in tenth grade in the middle of downtown. The vice principal of her school of the arts called me about it. I laughed & told her that there's no way in hell she would do something like that, the embarassment would have killed her. Case was dropped.

Is that for real? If so, it's just incredible.
As a parent I don't know what I would do. Thank heavens my son is grown. When I think back on my behavior in school, I'd be in jail for a number of things and most all were done in pure fun, no one was hurt, no one's mind was screwed up for years, nobody needed therapy. Just a little grab-ass. And I went to parochial school. I'm most likely the one that needed therapy after the nuns finished with me. Did a classmate write the note, guess they don't teach penmanship in school anymore either. Sounds like Kyah kicked his a$$, buy her an XBoX and be done with it. Is she interested in being on the SCOTUS, well she can forget that with this kind of behavior, she's marked for life. |

In prep school we had what were called "canaries" due to the pink and yellow canary copy paper on which they were written. When you got into trouble, you got a canary. One guy who got three in one day we nicknamed "Bird Man." On the last day of class senior year, we snagged some blank ones and wrote one up for our German teacher, who was a great guy, but a strange duck with a silly laugh and who was prone to spells of great excitement. He loved it so much, he framed it and I saw it in his house 10 yrs. later.

I just laughed when I got it. My daughter is certainly no angel in school and is an expert at trying the teacher's patience. At her school you don't get a "Red Sheet" until after you get 10 "Green Sheets."
