at least the soccer (football) players run a lot.
Because the hockey season ended, I tried watching my first baseball game of the season. ....... it's going to take awhile before i can make it through a 9 inning game. (watching plump, overpaid slackers scratch themselves)

Rowing makes hockey look like a few winter ducks slipping around on a frozen pond.

Agreed. As much as I love watching my daughter play, I really lose interest as it go ups the professional levels. Many World Cup parties today because US plays England. Its a beautiful sunny Saturday. I can think of 1000 other things to do on a Summer afternoon.

When they start whacking the other team with their oars and introduce full body contact into rowing, I'll tune in to the Rowing Channel. (I won't argue the physical exertion spent though)

It's the embellished 'injuries' that I hate. And the general monotony.
I think it might be the inverse of basketball. No scoring vs. squeek squeek swish. |

Dude, have you ever skated? It is incredibly hard and physically daunting. And I gotta tell you that I see hockey players constantly moving, and I see plenty of soccre players walking around. |

Rooster, I was comparing the soccer players to baseball players.
And, if you saw my location, you would know that i have skated/played hockey. (here, young ones who can't skate are fed to the wolves)

Baseball would be better if it were hockey.
