I have had this one since the 70's. A 13.5 ft '64 SkiCraft. We just ski, but only in flat water.

I was fortunate enough to go see a Formula 1 boat grand prix in the mid 90's...
RIDICULOUS. 400 horse two stroke V6's revving to 11K... I've wanted one ever since.

Fast forward to the end where he's giving this thing some revs. I want one of these boats so badly, I'd consider moving back to the Ozarks to have a place to run it...

anyone know anything about pedestrian river boats with jet drives powered by Detroit iron instead of the air cooled motors I've seen around at shows? I need plans or ideas on what to build. It's not exactly a rig you'd see around Long Island.
I'd like a v 6 or 8 in a 20-25' boat for the back bay wetland areas. I want to build it like it was meant to get crashed around at 30 knots and, if necessary, get repaired to do it again. btw... I happen to have a 4 bolt v-8 chevy that came out of a tow truck in the early 1970s. Some say they had thicker blocks. The forged crank has been stored carefully and the block is outside in a shed curing. huh

I have a buddy with a '57 Ed Monk... 38' or thereabouts. It has a Grey Marine 6-71. Way too much motor for the boat, but that doesn't mean it's fast. Just noisy as hell.

Yeah, the truck blocks have thicker webbing around the crank and thicker cylinder walls
