Arrived today, after reading so many positive reviews, I had to buy it.

Benchmade Puukko 200 in CPM 3V

The sheat has zero retention, knife falls right out if turned upside down.
Horrible and even dangerous, Benchmade failed in the sheath department, bigly.
The knive is near perfect, good grip, shaving sharp out of the box.
Paid 150€, they go for about 130$ on amazon.
Worth every penny.

Turns out these are made just down the street from me!

Found out while looking for one for my son's birthday and wound up taking this one home for me!:)

I've got more knives than I need. Nothing crazy, probably just 10-15. I ran across this the other day and just had to buy it. I need it like I need a hole in the head. I haven't received it yet.

I thought it was interesting. I guess I've not been around boats enough to have ever run across a knife that comes with a marlinspike.

Like Vince would say, "Made in Germany. You know the Germans always make good stuff!"

And, of course, Solingen is pretty famous for knives.

Now I need to get some rope and a boyscout manual and start practicing my knots and splicing!

Very nice! Presumably one of the nice high carbon steel models?

Yes it is. A birthday present from my wife a few years ago.
Sharpest knife I have ever seen. Which must explain the high price.

Quality Japanese knives will be razor sharp and outlast you and me if cared for.

Not exactly a knife. I'm on a facebook group for old tools. This came up, and I bid on it expecting to lose, but I won.

Apparently the blade is 14". I haven't received it yet. Yes, I'll be hanging it on a handle, and I'll sharpen it.

Mine's carved from a single block of Laotian Bamboo. Doesn't fold very well and pokes me in the leg when I carry it in my jorts, but works great when cutting gravies and other slightly viscous materials (as long as they're not too thick).

Thinking of upgrading to a solid rubber knife soon--but not until this one wears out.

I still carry this one every day as my work knife. It's a very robust knife. Glad I bought it. These pictures are from four years ago.

I lost my everday... was a Wave Patterned Mcusta, Damscus blade....

http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1681429395.jpg

I also have a hammered Mcusta, same frame and blade..

http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1681429487.jpg

So I started carrying a Deejo... its like having nothing in your pocket....

http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1681429611.jpg

After a few days.... This became my everyday...

Mcusta, Olive wood handle, Damascus blade...
