Actually that oil soaked grease stained lump of crap is exactly what they look like, with all fiberglass lettuce like substance attached.

The look on his face sums it up pretty accurately.

A review I read on the web about the Whack-n-a-Crack Taco:

"the jack in the box taco is an american staple. a friend of mine calls it "camel grains and monkey dirt" which, although completely nonsensical, somehow nicely sums up the filling."

Soggy, grease saturated corn tortillas folded over pathetically wilted strips of "let us pretend this is lettuce" and a small quantity of "mystery meat", seasoned to one's refined epicurean taste with hot sauce squozen (I thought I'd never get the opportunity to use that word) onto the disgusting, steaming conglomeration.

I avoid JITB and other fast "food" effluence (a word I somehow associate with sewage) outlets at all costs.

Most of the time.

Except when I, rarely, drive through and buy (no more than four!) of those disgusting excuses for food.

But that's ONLY because...

I find them tasty.

I've sought help and I haven't eaten one of the despicably disgusting concoctions in over eight months.

Now someone has to post a thread on them and set me up for a major setback in my therapy,

Anyone try the new McDonalds cuisine called "McRibs"?

Friend of mine said they aren't ribs at all. Something like shredded beef formed into the shape of a rib/ribs. WTF? They'd better have some pretty good chemically-enhanced sauce to make up the difference.

That surprises you?? Did you expect actual ribs????
McD is not going to risk a lawsuit from the first asswipe that chokes on a bone...

Frankly I'd be surprised if the meat found in a McRib comes from anywhere near the ribcage of an actual animal....

I have eaten the McRib thing exactly once, In Frankfurt Germany in 1982.

The second time I tasted them, I swore I'd never try another one. They should stick to making hamburgers.

The McRib is back through the 22nd nationwide! Its a pattie of processed rib meat, and no its not that good. The sauce on them is decent, but definitely nothing to write home about. Yes I have eaten one in the last month too....

That all started with the soft taco craze. The first tacos in this country were all hard shell fried. If you want to discuss tacos from all over Mexico and then all over the world, then anything goes.

Trucks don't have deep fryers for a very good reason. A doughy, flat, overlapped tortilla covered with your favorite condiments is all they can provide.

I love JITB tacos. No, they are not real tacos. They don't pretend to be, they don't taste like them, and they're not made like them. Big freaking deal, they're delish. Toss a pair next to a giant Ultimate Cheeseburger and some super crispy curly fries and you have a days worth of calories.

In fact, I think I might go there for lunch today, and I'll even pay the EXTRA DOLLAR for those wondrous little fried pockets of slimy goodness.
