They look fantastic. How does that work? Parr boil, squidge them around a bit and then into the oven with some olive oil?

Take some medium small reds or multi color potatoes. Those ones in the bag from king Soopers are good;

Boil till soft. Let cool for a bit

Put a little oil on a baking sheet; put the potatoes on and smash em flat to about 3/8”.

Whoops sorry, peter. 8- 10mm.

Drizzle more oil and put on your seasoning of choice and then bake at 450 (excuse me, gas mark 8) for about 15-20 minutes. Really makes em crispy and great.

No. My plow disc pan. I heated it in my propane Weber.

Picked this up today and it's in the slow cooker now. Pulled pork tomorrow with my new sauce! :p

You guys ever dump in apple juice or Coca-cola when you slow cook pork?

I'm just using water and spices today.

I do pulled pork over 12 or 14 hours in the smoker, so no I don't use either of those things. When I am braising chunks of pork shoulder, for example when making taco fillings and the like, I use plain water. Of course, I also have things like garlic and onion in there. If you're leaning more towards a Cuban recipe, you might find some citrus like orange juice used.

The difference between prime and choice ribeyes is striking but I won't say which one is better. Choice you get big beef flavor that you can play with. Prime is more subtle and deserves a gentler hand.

Ribeye with morels and shiitake, white balsamic vinegar caramel and butter. Best thing I've made in a while. Sweet and savory at its finest.

White balsamic is completely different from dark/brown. It's more perfume than vinegar.

A common meal that I like to make in the summer.
.
Avocado, Compari maters, chopped sweet onion, Capers, shredded Romano cheese, oil/vinegar dressing, freshly ground pepper, and a full Lime squeeze.
I leave it covered with a plate for a while to let the flavors marry.
Bachelor food.
.
Photo doesn't do it justice, but.........

Thanks, Peter...it's quite tasty.
Crusty bread...I wish. Diabetes and I don't want the carbs.

This isn't weird and is from my bachelor days, but it still is one of my favorites. Canned peas, canned French cut green beans, canned corn, canned carrots, canned red or black beans. Open the cans, spoon helpings out onto a plate and apply a liberal amount of bleu cheese dressing.
