Not pretty plating but pretty tasty, Caesar with pan-fried sockeye over steamed and fried (in duck fat) fingerlings. Washed down with a very tasty Oregon Pinot Noir.

Over here, in weight watchers land, we have http://i800.photobucket.com/albums/y...ps3970bc43.jpg Salad of field greens, sirloin strip, candied walnuts, blue cheese. http://i800.photobucket.com/albums/y...ps98a04f73.jpg Black rice risotto with Chinese sausage, almonds. You can make healthy fries. Peal, chop and wash potatoes. Put in a baggie with a teaspoon of olive oil. Add seasoning salt. Mix well and bake @ 350f for 40 min. Stir 1/2 way along.

Can you tell it is diet time chez me?
Dinner tonight. Chicken strips, pressed with mesquite seasoning, grilled. Beet greens sautéed in duck fat. Brocolli. http://i800.photobucket.com/albums/y...ps5c44e4f0.jpg The side was bean and quinoa salad. All washed down with a glass of homemade beet-carrot-ginger juice. I decided to spare you those pictures. |

isn't that just called a baked potato without the sourcream, bacon bits, and green onions? |
i would fry fries..no problemo!!
you have to make them yourself...you would be surprised how little fries you eat ;) americas test kitchen has a method that you put fries in cold oil..and eat it all up together. crazy. they come out crispy and not greasy. my friend did this method with a duck fat, veggie oil mix. it works. |
