I think fries are healthy enough. Just don't pig out!
My favorite way to make fries: gold potato, mandolin, cut into very thin fries like 1/8". Pat dry with paper towels. Deep fry until golden, in batches. Toss with salt and whatever seasoning you like. Eat immediately. The key is to maximize the ratio of crunchy salty crust to soft bland interior. The thinner the fry, the better the ratio. |

Heck they only perfected this cold oil method using over 50 pounds of Spuds in various cooking methods............I might have to try it, but I'm not a fry person really.
