Huge Sticky Beef Short Ribs. Chinese 5 spice, Oyster Sauce, chili peppers, wine and brown sugar form a decadent sticky bliss of a meal.

Recipe: all 5 star reviews.

Sticky Five-Spice Short Ribs Recipe : Aida Mollenkamp : Food Network

Combine with this spicy coleslaw for awesome flavor balance. Ignore the first meat dish and scroll down to the slaw.

Five Spice Spare Ribs with Crunchy Slaw Recipe : Emeril Lagasse : Food Network

Mine - 2 hours simmering in a cast iron Dutch oven on my BBQ side burner.

Following my trend in minimalism, I had to combine these great tasty tom tomatoes with some fresh pappardelle. Pasta, tomatoes, olive oil, butter, S&P. The tomatoes were bursting with flavor, I wish I had blistered and lightly roasted 3-4 more. And I have to start buying more wine, an Italian Primitivo would have made this even better.

Doesn't look like much but it was excellent. The tasty toms made the dish. No better tomato available today.

Had a family gathering to celebrate 3 birthdays and smoked one of these to cut up as an appetizer. A bacon cheeseburger fatty. It was pretty tasty!

Wow Cliff! That is a great pic and a great looking dish. I've always wanted to try making it, I think I'll give it a shot.

turned out very good. wife loved it!!

i am however on this salt reduction thing. self imposed. this chicken could have used more salt. if i would have had dinner guest, i would have added salt.

it was super easy to make, actually. i talked to a chef in santa rosa and supplemented the info with Alton Browns recipe. i did the onions and shrooms in the oven. and added anchovy paste to the sauce.

Rusty Heap 10-05-2015 08:37 AM

Give the kid an extra candy bar for me...........13 and making Ceviche......Excellent. Now start on how to bake a whole chicken in an oven, 2 hours/350F. then stuffing, I love teaching kids how to cook.

My thought was that it looks amazing, then laughed when I began reading...

Why is that El Sauso?

Lunch today was perfect, 1 pan: lot of olive oil, 2 chicken thighs, diced potatoes, chopped garlic, 2 tasty toms, brown on top, throw in the oven for 22 minutes at 400F, done. So simple, so tasty. Bell & Evans chicken really makes a difference.
