Brembo is $1695 option, 3.73 is $395 option. All V8s are carbon discs in limited slip.
Even older ones can be upgraded, it's cheap and easy from Ford Motorsports. In fact, you can buy the whole Traction-Lok unit with the carbon discs for about $250!! That's less than the bolts and shims cost in a Porsche differential (oops, sorry, not meant to be inflammatory) |

Reg...if you have the VIN, the dealer should be able to print out the sticker for you.

Thanks Paul! I'll ask when I pick it up. I am waiting for a call. The city where I purchased it just received 3-4 feet of snow this week so they are running behind. I should have snapped a few pics.
I hate to drive it on a salty road but will pick as best of day as I can and then wash it off when I get home. Some said to flat bed it but that would prob add a couple hundred and it could still get some spray anyways. Reg

Good luck either way. On the sticker, my dealer printed out the stickers of several Bullitts available from NW dealerships. I asked him to print out extras when I selected my car...it was no problem for him.

Reg,
If you flatbed it, the spray if any will most likely be mostly on the painted surfaces, i.e. bodywork, which is easily accessible to wash off. If you drive it, the spray will also be underneath, in, on, and around the suspension, and in every nook and cranny that can't be seen until the rust shows. Best, Tom

Thanks Tom.
I wonder if they'll test drive it at the dealer before I pic up anyways? I can check the miles or ask them before I drive down to get it. It would be moot if they put 5 miles on it and then flat bed. They have to "safety" it because it is considered a used car which I assume requires a road test but maybe they'd forgo it because of the 60 miles on the odo.

So Reg, you were just talking about a M3, and chose a 2011 Mustang GT instead?
Good choice! |

Yeah, your're right. I drove the M3 & loved driving it but with further research and some issues with unknowns on that car - I passed. What got me on this Mustang was I had one over 20 yrs ago (LX 5.0 coupe) and the value. A couple unforseen issues on the 9 yr old M3 makes up the diff. in cost for basically a new car. Indeed not as refined, but should be a fun ride.
Ironically, I should mention this car I purchased is from a Ford dealer who bought the car from I think a B lane (maybe name mistaken) Ford dealer only auction. The story is that it was rejected by the first ordered dealer. I was told it had a blem or ding on the one side when driven off the truck. Car went back to Ford, panel replaced and then resold with disclosure. Purchase is conditional upon my inspection of the car and its records. From what I saw of it it looks great. The car was $$$ off a new Canadian model. I thought maybe you have had experience with these types of cars and make a comment.

Manufacturers will sell cars that were damaged before delivered to or accepted by the dealership as used cars. They are sold at Ford 'closed' (Ford-dealer-only) auction with damage disclosures. The good news is that rarely is there a CarFax entry for the damage. There is no insurance claim. It's common for Canadians to buy those cars as where else would they find used new cars?
If it were very light damage, they'd be fixed and sold as new. They've had decent damage (panel replacement or significant paint) before they'd go that route. But when they're five years old, who cares. If it was a good deal and you're going to drive it for awhile, it's a smart move. |

Carfax is clean. I think it shows clean because it was under $3000? It was on the pass side back quarter I believe.
Thanks for your input!

I bought a couple dozen Chryslers, Dodges, Jeeps, and Mercedes from DCX several years ago that had been damaged by storms while waiting in rail yards. Still had plastic. But each car had significant damage (over $1K). Some were already fixed but disclosed, others were still damaged. It was a VERY profitable endeavor, and customers loved the savings. Careful as warranties start the moment it is decided they are not being sold as new. So while they may have negligible miles, they may be a few months into warranty. |

LOL, this is another funny one. It also demonstrates that "some" Porsche drivers are a tad ..... well let's just call them eccentric and high-strung.........

LOL at the vids, guys...Anybody else think that Clarkson's rocket launcher improved the lines of the 944?
![]() (edit)...I recall AUTOMOBILE running an article, comparing the 944 Turbo to the 911 of the time...they raving about the 944 balance & handling... I recall thinking "Maybe so, but it's sure an ugly mudder focker."

My car arrived yesterday. To date only driven around the laneway to park it till spring. The window sticker was obtained online by using the VIN at Ford. She is a base GT. Zero options. It has the 3.31 rear end but should still move out plenty fast enough.

Congratulations! That's a great looking car! The 3.31 will be deep enough, for sure. If you want to go limited slip at some point let me know. They just bolt in. I can get Ford Motorsports Traction-Lok units cheaper than just about anywhere in North America. |
