I am a strong proponent of environmental concerns. But silly hippie ideas like 'Earth Day' don't really speak to me. Environmental issues are not black and white. Change cost money(or value), and thats finite. 'Green' is a worthy goal. But like every goal, it requires time.

I didn't want to light candles, because the CO2 they create is bad for the environment.
