Y'all ain't even going to believe this scheize!
Well, Wednesday it became apparent that one of my rental places was going to be looked at, and the grass was too long. So in the morning, I grabbed my "Holy" mower out of the shed and pushed it the half-mile to this place from my house. I pushed the primer bulb four times, and it started and ran PERFECT. When I was done, the grass was tamed. This is a 4.5 hp mower, and it knocked down foot tall [30cm] grass like it wasn't there. The mango tree in the back yard dropped several dozen small mangos [?], and it chopped these up and threw them out without problem. I had to stop a few times and pick things up; it always started HALF way through the cord pull! -This thing's engine is amazing! I bought it from a used mower shop in 2003, and I've never changed the spark plug. Or the air filter. I keep oil in it, and add a little bit of Marvel oil to the gas tank whenever I think I have a particularly hard job ahead. Oil changed every 6 months, and a new blade every other year and this thing just sings. It is so easy to start that I wonder if it might be a good idea to remove the spark plug each time, since I keep 25 gallons of gasoline in the same shed during hurricane season in Florida. It has that silly engine shut off handle, so I guess it probably CAN'T START ON IT'S OWN! [That is a legitimate problem with magneto-equipped vehicles. On light aircraft, you move the key to off for a split second to make sure the mag is grounded. Otherwise, there is the possibility of the engine starting on its own when temperature changes cause the coil to fire...and actually start the engine! This is how the biplane in the movie "Pearl Harbor" started and took off with the two boys aboard] Heh! The holes in the deck were allowing the blade to fling grass and mango at me; Despite the front wheels at a 30 degree angle....I could just bondo the hole in the deck... Sounds like it needs some baling wire, parachute cord, duct tape, chewing gum, and a small pen knife. But please park it in Kalifornia prior to making the above adjustments!!!!

Use self tapping screws to apply a sheet metal patch over the hole.
