The carbs are PMO 40's. The engine builder said the 40's would work - might be the best choice for the street though I could probably get mroe power out of the bigger PMO's. Can't remember what the cams were. I let the engine builder pick them out. Told him I wanted the car to be tractable for street driving (which isn't too hard given how light the car is) and to get busy somewhere around 4-4,500. It pulls so hard from there to redline that if you do half a dozen rips during the day, the next morning your neck feels like it has whiplash. Oh it's worth it though... so worth it!

For more engine porn. This is my Dad's car. I got rid of the stinkbug 305 that was in it - this is a nice 330 horse 350. I built the a/c lines myself. Reused the factory hardline, but built the rest of the lines out of a stainless barrier hose. Then polished the hardline and dryer by hand.

Angela, what type of vehicle is that? It looks just like the engine compartment of my 86 El Camino. Mine has no pink however

You're spot on. That car is an 87 Monte Carlo Aerocoupe (Dad's car). Kind of a long story on that one -

Love, Lies and Larceny... - MonteCarloSS.com Message Board

The gist of it is that we pretended to sell it for my Dad (even gave him money for it) then spent two years building a resto-rod for him. He got it back for Father's Day a couple of years ago.

Koenigsegg. (I have no idea if I spelled it right)

I recognise the emblem on the driver's side cylinder bank.
