(If so, what's the cooler there in the engine compartment?)

I thought this was just spectacular, just sitting alone in the hotel parking lot. I'm assuming it was a clone, but you never know when you're in Monterey. Anyone know if that's a factory color?

My Recently Completed Holleran's Performance Build

I already had the ITBs, but John Holleran of Holleran's Performance in Auburn rebuilt my engine to a level of detail I would not have thought possible. Powdercoated Gold bits to match my theme. Customized fan shroud, new hardware, etc. Killer work and it screams. I was at 273RWHP before his custom billet cams, headwork, lightening, etc. Dyno results next weekhttp://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1538509997.jpg

Not mine.... The "cooler" is one of the intercoolers for the Turbos.

And I believe that blue is a Porsche color... "Albert blue"

The 914 looks maybe a little dark for Albert Blue. Could be the lighting or the photography, though. I happen to be a big fan of Albert Blue. Here is my '72:

The blue 914 above looks like what a Penske 914 would have looked like if they had run one with SUNOCO sponsorship. Beautiful.

I was going to say that it looks like SUNOCO Blue but you beat me to it....
Beautiful car.
Love Albert Blue on early 911s too.

Why thank you, Peter.

Since we are doing "engine porn", here is what I consider to be its most "glorious" feature. 3.0 liter with JE 10.5: pistons, custom cams from John Dougherty, Electromotive crank fired twin plug ignition, and MFI reworked to suit (regound space cam, etc.) by yours truly.
