That Peugeot (diesel?) looks to be largely carved of one chunk...but I think it must be an end plate that makes it appear that way.

Nothing exotic or rare. It is MY engine almost ready to go back in the car. It came out for a re-seal. It had oil leaks everywhere. Those are gone. It will be great to have a dry floor. 146,000 miles and still a very solid engine.

I could make out the characters in the photo - The engine is a typ 745; a 2,0l flat six.
