Pardon my ignorance - I absolutely love the 3.0 BMW's, but wasn't the CSI injected? Are these (pictured) some type of throttle bodies? They look kinda like carbs to me. And was it mechanically FI like the 2002 Tii's?

I didn't know this till today. Way back in 1968 Alfa had 2.0L, V8, dry sump, twin plugged, 4 cam, mid engine car with a six speed transaxle! I would have loved to hear it run!

I think the iterations are

3.0 CS (carbs) then

3.0 CSi (injected) then

3.0 CSL (injected) this was aluminum bodied

Its not uncommon to replace fuel injection systems (early) with carbs....

Sorry....you are correct! The car started its life as a 3.0CSI and is being converted to a 3.5 CS Batmobile with Grupe2 body kit and sidedraft webers.
