This is what my parents had when I was a kid. I remember long drives across the desert (at night) going from SLC to Las Cruces, laying in back and checking out the gazillion-bazillion stars.
66 buick, I remember my dad saying what a POS it was and how it was built out of whatever parts they had laying around that year but it got us all across that desert upteen times. That's a station wagon. A car with hauling capabilities, truck rear suspension, something you can pack with 800# of stuff in back and still drive the darned thing. That's a far cry from the modern "sport wagons". They're cool but they aint station wagons. IMO of course.
