Finally - someone who posts the reason why many of us wanted a station wagon.
(nudge, nudge, wink, wink) The backs of station wagons were, after all, much roomier than the back seat of a sedan. |

That Studebaker is very cool. You can see that the SUV's of today are just piggish versions of yesteryears' station wagons. IMO, station wagons >> SUVs.

I owned *THAT* car (except burnt orange) my sophomore year of college. Bought it from the original owner, a surgeon that worked with my mom, for $225 with over 200K miles.
That 455 cu in 4bbl V8 would make that pig MOVE.... in a straight line. I didn't drive it much. The only reason I had that car was to call it my primary vehicle so I could insure my Porsche 944 Turbo under my mother's name

I once owned a 70's Volvo Station wagon and a 80's Volvo station wagon. My favorite though was my Peugeot 505 turbo wagon that the ex got in the deeevorce
