I flew DeHavilland Dash-8's for Atlantic Coast Airines/United Express for two years out of Washington Dulles [IAD] international airport, '93-'94. If you flew United to smaller cities along the east coast during that time period, I might have flown you there.
I flew Mary Tyler Moore after the 1994 MTV video music awards from LaGuardia to Washington Dulles. During the two years I flew there, there was this woman that operated Dulles tower, and she had the sexiest voice! She sounded so hot, and other pilots noted this to me. Well, the FAA towers give tours now and then, and they encourage pilots to take the tour, so that we can stand behind controllers and watch them work. Good idea. Well, a couple of my colleagues actually went up to the Dulles tower one day to see what she looked like, and low and behold...folks- ----She sat AROUND the place---- I was told that the sexy woman in the tower was at LEAST 400 pounds! She was morbidly obese, and while completely friendly, she was about as hot as Jabba the Hutt. Well, you know what Andrew Dice Clay said about fat women: "Anyone can do a pretty girl. But it takes a MAN to do a fat girl!" N! |

A womans voice has no bearing on looks. End of story. Too bad for some. A girl at the office has a great voice, but is a total wreck, impossible to even consider after a keg of beer. But she knows how to use it. I hear her talking to clients on the phone making good use of what she has.

Spot on! The ones that sound sweet as apple pie are usually 300 pounds plus and 5 foot tall...

When we arrived at Dulles, I couldn't tell if we had landed or were shot down. I kid. My benchmark for not being able to tell is Robin Quivers...not unattractive but her voice leads one to a pleasant distraction her visage can't quite support.
